Wide World of House - Volume 1

I am proud to announce the release of my first mix compilation series - Wide World of
House. The series will feature tracks from all of house music’s sub-genres produced
by world-famous DJ/Producers as well some lesser known, yet very talented
DJ/Producers. Besides showcasing great individual tracks, the series will feature my
own personal Sayho-style track mixing and story telling.
In Volume 1, I chose to highlight some current house tracks from 2005 and 2006, with
Deep Dish and Junior Vasquez making an appearance and an encore (hey, if
anybody deserve’s their mixes appearing twice on a compilation album, its them two).
But the most important aspect of Volume 1 may very well be the story telling. The mix
starts moody and passionate with Vivian Green’s “Tired” then straight into Tone 7’s
rebelliously liberating (and thumping!) “Magic Potion” followed by the operatic “On My
Own” from Maya. Lyrically it may resemble someone who has broken away from a
passionate love affair. What is the remedy for a broken-heart and/or suddenly single?
Go to the club and hit the dance floor! That’s where the next two seductively primal
(Mario Ochoa’s “Tambor Latino”) and endorphin stimulating (Alex Niri’s “Aurora”)
tracks take you… mixed creatively and genuinely by yours truly. From there… well… I’
ll let you interpret the rest of the story.
